![]() If anyone out there is in the same boat, you may want to give it a try. I probably could have installed RA2 without needing to download the update. I downloaded the update and RA2 installed! I couldn't believe it! I probably didn't need to download the update in retrospect because Rome: Total War uses SafeDisc. Indeed it did! There was a link to the Macrovision site for a SafeDisc driver update. Tonight I decided to browse around some RA fan sites and see if a forum would help. I sadly put the game away never expecting to play it again. Yet, I could insert YR, click Install, and everything would be fine. When I inserted the RA2 disc, and clicked install I got the Microsoft error message. Well, shortly after I got it up and running back in March, I decided to install RA2 and the YR expansion. I had no choice as to install SP2, as it came on the Windows disc. ![]() When I built the new computer, I put Windows XP Pro with SP2 on it. I pre-oredered the expansion for it when it came out. I have had Command & Conquer Red Alert 2 since it came out.
